We highly recommend in-person consultations, particularly for the first visit. We don’t routinely offer virtual consultations, but if you have no way of seeing us in person please contact us and we can try to accommodate your request.

You can use any lab that offers the blood tests we require. We are registered at Ampath (mnemonic: motmo02), Lancet (mnemonic: MOTIMO01), Path24 (mnemonic: MOTI001). By providing the lab with our unique mnemonic, we will receive your results directly from the lab. You are welcome to use any other lab that may be more convenient, but you will then need to bring a copy of your blood results to your consultation.

Your blood tests need to be performed at least three (3) days before your consultation. The blood tests should be done first thing in the morning (before 10 am) while fasting (nothing to eat or drink for at least 8-10 hours before your blood tests). Follow any additional instructions if provided.

This depends on your medical aid coverage and possible savings balance you may have with your medical aid. We suggest you check with your medical aid provider in order to better understand your benefits.

While it may seem like we are assessing many parameters, this is in order to get a comprehensive and holistic overview of your body’s current functioning and wellbeing. In order to gain insights into the complex interplay between the different systems and organs in your body, yes, the tests are necessary. After the initial consultation, we seldom need to repeat all the blood tests for follow up visits. If you require further testing at a later date, we only select the bloods that are completely necessary in order to monitor your progress.

Definitely not! We are aiming to identify potential risk factors that exist in order to overcome these risks before disease sets in. By ignoring the risk factor, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist. This allows us to identify and confront risk factors early on so you can avoid their consequences later in life.

Absolutely! Despite having a chronic condition, we are still able to assist in helping you attain your highest possible level of health and wellness. Please bring a list of your current medication and supplements so we can take those into consideration in your comprehensive evaluation. We can also explore adjunct or alternate treatment options based on your specific needs and wants.

At the end of the consultation, you should be equipped with information and a plan based on your health assessment and goals. This may include lifestyle modifications, medication and supplements. You will be provided with prescriptions for the medication and recommendations regarding the supplements with information of how and where to get them. We want to make this journey as easy as possible without you feeling forced into using products we prefer, so we do not provide medication to you directly, but can assist in sourcing if you would like us to.
